If you use ThinkorSwim the Equivolume charts are a game changer.
I've been utilizing the Equivolume chart on TOS and it's a gamechanger. I can see how big the positions are relative to others. Institutional Accumulation is easier to spot.
First and foremost let me say that I love this platform. However, the charting portion of it is garbage compared to TradingView. Does anybody else use TradingView charts / alerts but also use TOS for everything else or is that just me?
hey guys, im new to thinkorswim and trading in general and i was just wondering if there is anything i can do to fix my charts. it looks very stretched out from the top and bottom of the chart. i cant look at the prices accurately
How to change the color of a chart at a specific time in Thinkorswim.
Almost all traders know at what time of the trading session they earn, and at what time they waste time or even lose it. For example, I have this market opening, closing and lunch. And in order not to forget, I put an indicator on the chart, which visually highlights the time when I should not be at the terminal. It helps a lot to remember the time. It is very easy to set up, you can change the color of the backlight, and the time that you need to highlight.
#Thinkorswim studies #Changes the color of the candles to white at the specified NY time. #In this example, it will highlight the first hour since the opening, as well as lunch time and the last hour of the trading session. input Start_Time1 = 0930; input End_Time1 = 1030; input Start_Time2 = 1200; input End_Time2 = 1300; input Start_Time3 = 1500; input End_Time3 = 1600; def Open1 = SecondsTillTime(Start_Time1) <= 0; def Close1 = SecondsTillTime(End_Time1) <= 0; def Open2 = SecondsTillTime(Start_Time2) <= 0; def Close2 = SecondsTillTime(End_Time2) <= 0; def Open3 = SecondsTillTime(Start_Time3) <= 0; def Close3 = SecondsTillTime(End_Time3) <= 0; def Off_Time = Open1 and !Close1 or Open2 and !Close2 or Open3 and !Close3; AssignPriceColor( if Off_Time then Color.WHITE else Color.CURRENT);
Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 12 – Kadarius Toney is the new Josh Gordon
Most of us have passed our trade deadline, but some keep it going until Week 13. Henderson and Melvin Gordon changing teams was a bit of a surprise and had an effect on the trade values on their teams. We lost another tight end in Pitts this weekend, but my boy Taysom is trending back up. What was your best trade this year? Worst? Announcements

I check the comments on the expert's articles every week and see the disapproval and outright anger at some of the rankings. My goal was to try and adjust the values using crowd-sourced data (Reddit+Yahoo) to create better trade values. To generate trade values, I aggregate expert ranks and seed them into a model I have been working on for 5 years now. I generated my functions by using historical data, Reddit Trade threads, and the Yahoo trade market to look for positional relationships. My goal was to look for crossover points in 1 for 1 player positional trades to generate tiers and normalize across positions. My goal is to incorporate as many sources and experts as possible to eliminate or minimize bias. I have recently incorporated R scripts that use “fuzzy” matches to try and combine the player names. Each site uses slightly different variants and it causes issues. I apply correction factors for things like PPR scoring, 6 point passing TD, and superflex leagues to build out a broad range of trade values. Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 13 – Jacobs is a MAN
In a 14-team “experts” league I drafted Josh Jacobs pick 5.11, pick 81. I stacked Kelce and Mahomes in the same league. Redzone made me miss the 86 yard TD run from Jacobs, but I have not worn pants for days. No one cares about my leagues, but I care about yours. That’s why I am back for the week 13 edition of the trade value charts. This should be the last week for trades in nearly all leagues. Get 'er done. What was your best trade this year? Worst? Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 11 – Final Countdown
Week 11 is the deadline in A LOT of fantasy leagues. It is the Yahoo default and seems to be the default in a lot of Sleeper leagues. I believe ESPN is week 13, so you still have some time. Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 10 – Mixon is a MAN
Mixon both destroyed my hopes and dreams last week, and singlehandedly helped me crush some opponents. He was due for some TD regression but that was insane! Hopefully he can keep the momentum coming out of the bye. Let’s all keep a look out for injury news for Josh Allen and Aaron Jones. They could affect a lot of trade values going forward. Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 13 – We talkin bout playoffs
Week 14 is here and nearly all trade deadlines have passed. I am not sure why you opened this thread. Maybe it is just muscle memory. The subreddit is already slowing down and F5 season is starting to fade. We only have a coupe of weeks left. Cherish them. I hope you made some great trades and are ready for the playoffs. Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 9 – NFL Deadline is the New Fantasy Deadline
I hope you all enjoyed F5 season yesterday as much as I did! I am bummed Hunt and Elijah Moore didn’t get moved, but we can’t have it all. Reddit Adjusted Trade Value Charts - Week 8 – His name is Josh Jacobs
It only took 7 weeks for Jacobs to make it into the top tier of players. He is good. I hope you did not sell too early. We lost a lot of players last week to injury and that cased a lot of movement in the charts. Here is to hoping this week is more stable. Week 8 is Peak trade Season. Don’t miss out on the action! Is there a way to chart historical options value with thinkorswim or another software?
I'm digging into thinkorswim finally and there are some things about historical values that are confusing me. Is there a way to chart historical daily/hourly changes in contract value and greeks? edit: Ok, I found how to put the theoretical option price on the tos charts page by copying the option, but I want to graph the profits by day, not the contract price. What I'm confused about is why the options sometimes lose a ton of money before or after the strike price, but weeks or months before the expiration date.

These price zones should monitor every professional forex trader. There are many ways to trade the S/R zones and the indicator profitably. The most widely used strategies are: 1) Range trading - trade pullbacks. 2) Trade reversals as soon as supports become resistances or resistances become supports. 3) Take profits or set stop-loss based on support/resistance zones.
